Join us for our 1st Annual #KidsNeedKiwanis Golf Tournament on Monday, June 7th, and help make an impact in our community.  We have a great day of golf planned at the beautiful private course at the Ranch Country Club in Westminster.  Event includes cart, green fees, range balls, fun games & contests, prizes & awards and a buffet lunch after tournament play.  Sign up as a foursome or single golfer.  There are also great sponsorship opportunities (see Become A Sponsor tab).

Proceeds benefit the Broomfield North-Metro Kiwanis Club's furnishing of the Community Room at Anchor House, an apartment complex in Broomfield providing affordable transitional housing to youth that have aged out of the foster care system, and other service projects helping children in our community. 

The need for affordable housing for emancipated foster youth is great. There are over 500 young people ages 14-18 just in the 3 county areas of Broomfield, Boulder, and Adams counties that will be emancipated in the next 4 years. Studies show that a very high percentage, without safe and adequate housing, will become homeless, addicted to drugs or alcohol, or sexually exploited. With stable, affordable housing and on-going contact with case managers, they are more likely to stay in education or successfully transition into the workforce.

The format for the tournament is a 4-player Scramble with Longest Drive, Closest-To-The-Pin and Putting contests, as well as some other fun games along the way.  Following the tournament, a barbeque, door prize drawing and awards reception will take place in the clubhouse.

  • A week’s stay at a three bedroom cabin near Breckenridge with a creek and beaver pond on the Blue River
  • (4) Growlers and (4) $25 Gift Cards for Blake's Taphouse
  • A Beauty & Rest Basket including services for a facial, manicure & pedicure, and house cleaning
